Welcome to the Online Education Platform (the "Platform"). By creating an account, signing in, or using any feature of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not register for or use the Platform.

1. Eligibility & account registration

• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by your country, to register.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access to your account.

2. Acceptable use

• You agree to use the Platform only for lawful educational purposes.
• You will not upload, post, or share content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, infringing, or inappropriate.
• You will not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its data.
• Cheating, plagiarism, or sharing assessment answers may result in account suspension and forfeiture of points or certificates.

3. Personal information & privacy (POPIA)

We process your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). By registering you confirm that you understand and consent to the following:

• We collect identity, contact, profile, learning activity, and device information needed to operate the Platform.
• We use your information to deliver courses, track progress, issue certificates, send notifications, and improve the service.
• We may share your information with your enrolling organization (e.g. your employer or training provider) and with sub-processors that help us run the Platform (such as hosting, email and WhatsApp messaging providers).
• Where AI features are used, we redact direct identifiers (such as names, email addresses, ID numbers and phone numbers) before sending content to third-party AI providers.
• We retain your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, or as required by law.
• You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information by contacting your administrator or our support team.

4. Communications

You consent to receive service-related communications from us, including email, in-app and WhatsApp messages, related to your account, courses, assessments, and reminders. You may opt out of non-essential communications in your account settings.

5. Intellectual property

All course content, study materials, branding and software on the Platform are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the materials for your own personal learning only and may not redistribute, resell, or republish them without written permission.

6. User-generated content

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as assessment answers or chat messages), but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display that content as needed to operate the Platform and provide your learning experience.

7. Suspension and termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the Platform in a way that risks harm to other users or to the service.
• You may close your account at any time by contacting your administrator.
• Some records (such as completion certificates and audit logs) may be retained after account closure where required by law or by your enrolling organization.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work hard to keep the service reliable and secure, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will publish the updated Terms with a new version number and ask you to accept them again. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
